Our Story
Where Vietnamese heritage meets modern luxury.
A Vision Born in Saigon
Bulberry began in 2019 in a small workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, founded by a team of designers and artisans who believed that Vietnamese craftsmanship deserved a place on the world stage.
Having spent years working with European luxury houses, our founders saw first-hand that the finest leather work in the world was happening in Vietnam — yet it was always bearing someone else's name. Bulberry was created to change that.
Honest Luxury
We believe luxury should be honest. No inflated margins for a European address. No factory production masquerading as artisan craft. No compromises on materials to hit a price point.
Every Bulberry piece is genuinely handcrafted by skilled artisans — not assembled on a line with a few hand-finished touches. We use only full-grain leather, solid brass hardware, and natural edge finishes. The result is a product that rivals any European luxury house, at a price that reflects its true cost, not an artificial one.
The Hands Behind Every Piece
Our workshop in Saigon employs 24 artisans, each with a minimum of ten years' experience in leather craft. Many are second or third-generation leather workers, carrying techniques passed down through their families.
We pay above-market wages, provide skills development, and ensure every artisan is credited for their work. When you purchase a Bulberry piece, you're investing in a community of craftspeople — not a corporation.
Our Values
Craftsmanship
Every piece is handcrafted start-to-finish by a single artisan, ensuring consistency and care that machines cannot replicate.
Slow Fashion
We produce in small batches, never chasing trends. Our designs are timeless — made to last years, not seasons.
Authenticity
No pretence, no shortcuts. We are proudly Vietnamese and transparent about how and where every piece is made.
Community
Our artisans are partners, not employees. We invest in their growth, families, and the continuation of Vietnamese leather craft.
